In late October of 2008, I had an opportunity to visit Phoenix, Arizona on business. Well, I headed out there a couple of days early so I could do some sightseeing.
On Saturday, the 25th, after arriving, I drove out to Apache Junction and drove the Apache Trail out to Roosevelt Dam. I continued driving the loop back to Apache Junction via Globe Arizona.
On Sunday, the 26th, I drove south of Tucson to the San Xavier Indian Reservation to see the San Xavier del Bac Mission, considered to be the finest example of Spanish Mission architecture in the US.
Thursday afternoon, the 30th, after work, I was able to get up to Scottsdale, to see Frank Lloyd Wright's home and school, Taliesin West. It remains a school of architecture, teaching Wright's principles, even though he is no longer alive.
